Biologically Active Supplements Vetom 1.1

Qualitative and quantitative composition
A dose of biologically active supplements (BAS) (1 capsule) contains 133 mg corn-steep extract, 100 mg potato starch; 67 mg sucrose (powdered sugar); 30 mg dried culture of probiotic microorganismsBacillus subtilis recombinant strain RNCIM В-10641 (DSM 24613), 1х10⁹ CFU/g.

A dose of BAS (5 g powder) contains 2000 mg corn-steep extract, 1500 mg potato starch; 1000 mg sucrose (powdered sugar);500 mg dried culture of probiotic microorganismsBacillus subtilis recombinant strain RNCIM В-10641 (DSM 24613), 1х10⁸ CFU/g.

Description / Properties/ Application

Biologically active supplement (BAS) Vetom 1.1 is used asadditional source of probiotic microorganisms.
A health-improving effect is provided bypropertiesof bacteria Bacillus subtilis. Reproducing mainly in the large intestine they produce proteolytic, amylolytic and cellulolytic enzymes; human leukocyte interferon alpha 2; bacitracinsand other biologically active substances which inhibit growth and development of pathogenic and opportunistic microflora. Owing to this process the composition of intestinal microbial communities becomesincompliance with the evolutionarynormal rate. Cleaning out intestine walls from some roughage (indigestible constituents of food) promotes active removal of toxins from a body; biologically active substances and nutrients can be delivered without hindrance. Taking Vetom 1.1 processes of digestion, absorption and metabolism of biological active food items in gastrointestinal tract come to normal. Vetom 1.1 assists a human organism to preserve the health.

Indications

Vetom 1.1 is used in dysbacteriosis, including antibiotic dysbacteriosis as an adverse reaction of antibacterial therapy and intake of chematherapeutic agents; in diarrhea, dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, dermal allergies.

Taking account of antagonistic strain activities it is also used as preparation for concomitant therapy for infectious diseases (salmonellosis, colibacteriosis, staphylococcosis, etc.).

BAS can be used during seasonal influenza epidemics and ARVI;  as a general health-improving agent and detoxicant for patients with malignant tumors to reduce the toxic effects of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and to restore anticancer resistance of the organism; in hepatitis A, B, C, B + C.

Dosage and Administration

For infection prophylaxis the recommended dose is 2-3 capsules/ sachets (equal 2-3 doses) a day within 10 days. It is taken with a small amount of water, juice or tea, with or after a meal.

 In the case of diseases (dysbacteriosis, ARVI, etc.) BAS dosage frequency should be increased up to 7-10 doses a day. It should be taken with a small amount of water, juice or tea, with or after a meal within 10 days.
BAS is allowed to be mixed with a small amount of water, tea or juice before administration.

Contraindications
Individual intolerance to the preparation ingredients.

Pregnancy and lactation
Check with your doctor before you take this BAS if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines
Vetom 1.1 does not affect on ability to drive oruse hazardous tools or machines.

Dosage Forms

One capsulecontains 0.33 g.10 capsules in a blister, 5 blisters in a carton box. Patient information leaflet is enclosed.

5 g laminated sachet.  50 sachets are packed in a carton box. Patient information leaflet is enclosed.

Storage Conditions
Don’t store above 30 ºС, at relative humidity exceeding 75%.

Shelf life is 2 years after the date of manufacture. Do not use it after the expiry date shown on the blister and carton after {EXP}.

Vetom 1.1 is not a medicinal preparation.
Keep it out of the reach and sight of children.

Prescription
It is available without prescription.

Interaction with other medicinal products
Vetom 1.1 increases efficacy of pharmaceuticals and decreases their side/adverse effects.

Oral administration of antibiotics and other probiotics with Vetom 1.1 are not recommended. Combined use of Vetom 1.1 and antibiotics is permissible if different methods and routes of administration are used, for example, oral intake for Vetom and parenteral administration for antibiotic.

Note.
PreparationsVetom 1.1, Vetom 2, Vetom 3 and Vetom 4 have the same mechanisms of action. Different microorganisms are used as active agents. They are active in different bowel segments and produce different biologically active substances. Therefore, the final effects on human organism are different. To reach the maximum effective health effects and identify the best Vetom preparation for your needs it is recommended to try Vetom 1.1, 2, 3 and 4 by turns.
